Directions & Maps

We can’t wait for you to visit Starlite Lodge! Please follow the tips below so you make it here safely.

  • You’ll lose cell service the last 30 minutes of your drive, so set your GPS navigation to 5955 Globe Road Lenoir, NC 28645 at the beginning of your trip. It’s a good idea to print directions as a backup, too.

  • GPS directions work well with Apple and Google devices if you’re traveling from North Carolina on Interstate 40 or Highway 321.

  • If you’re traveling from Tennessee or the Boone/Blowing Rock areas, GPS directions take you on narrow gravel roads that are dangerous for motorhomes, towing RVs, and some cars. First, get directions to Lenoir, North Carolina. Then, set your route to Starlite Lodge from Lenoir. You should be coming in from the southeast when viewed on the map. Any north, west, and southwest routes are windy gravel mountain roads that narrow to one lane at points.

  • Do not take Globe Mountain Road with your RV or motorhome under any circumstances.

  • When it’s snowing or icy, Globe Mountain Road isn’t safe for personal vehicles either. Please don’t risk it (even if you have a butch truck). No members or guests have slid off the mountainside, but we’ve needed tow trucks to rescue stuck vehicles on more than one occasion.
